The Good & the Bad
This week has been a rollercoaster of really great & really not-so-great.
Really Great:
- got to spend the weekend with my family in San Fran (hanging out with my cousins is always a treat)
- Chinatown gets its own little bullet point because it was so nice to feel like I was back in Asia, even if only for a few houres
- I’ve been productive at work & things are coming together to meet our deadlines
- & I’ve gotten to spend some quality time with people who keep me grounded & love me for who I am, not who I wish I was (I’m eternally grateful for mum, Paul, Micah & Lauryn - love you guys)
Not-So-Great:
- Grandmum’s memorial (I miss her tons, here’s why)
- spent 9+ extra houres at the airport & additional unplanned night in San Fran because of a plane malfunction
- car broke down (it was bound to happen at some point), now I need to go car shopping (but am avoiding it)
- & my computer is on the fritz
I’m pondering the good & bad, on this delightfully stormy day as I sit in the office being productive (& sipping coffee), & I’m reassured that everything is in His hands. He doesn’t guarantee a charmed life or prevent bad things from happening, but He does promise to be there through it all. And that’s enough.
