Fancies
These are little things that have caught my fancy this week. It’s an extremely girlish post, so men, you may want to skip over it.
Letterpress Necklace: Learning to letterpress is one of my top creative priorities. It’s not an easy feat, with so much equipment required but it’s a dream for someday. In the meantime, I may just have to grab one of these to hold me over.
Lightbulb Lamp: Light is one of my favourite things. It’s so cheery. I also like antiques, so put them together & BAM! That’s what you have here.
Chalkboard Wall: I’ve become obsessed with the idea of a chalkboard wall. Here is one inspiration, & another & a practical use. It’s a trend that has come & gone for the past decade but it would be perfect for my per chant to write lists about everything & desire to sketch on a larger scale. And look at these decals, so kitschy. My roommate Kelsey has a friend, Dana who is a chalk artist, her work is absolutely incredible.
Old becomes New: This post on Design Sponge has me thinking, what are the things I use on a daily basis that could double as art? Hmmmm. Printing off emails to use doesn’t seem too excited. Must think harder.
Reginapolis Map of NYC: Regina Spektor’s lyrics has been transformed into a map. Brilliant. Want. Now.
Someday: I found a seller on Etsy, called Janish Jewels & whoa boy. I love the rough cut diamonds, the delicate, intricate details & the use of gold. Especially this one (although it’s sold) but I also really like this one.
